RM in particular has spoken quite openly about the heavy depression he experienced that year and still struggles with to this day.
SCORPIO SEASON
Happy Scorpio season, friends! Even if you live somewhere without stark seasonal changes, the sun entering this fixed water always brings a shift, a subtle sense of sloughing off skin, of settling in for processes of growth and decay. This rawness requires both acknowledgment and protection.
CANCER SEASON
Happy Cancer season! Time of feeling everything deep in your chest, letting it out into the world, pursuing emotional connection, giving and receiving care, and tuning into our intuition. Cancer is the tide, the place where ocean meets land, this point of contact that’s always in flux. Ruled by the moon, it describes the space of cyclical change where we meet the world around us, where we exchange thoughts, feelings, and sensations.
MERCURY RETROGRADE IN GEMINI
On the 10th of May, Mercury stations retrograde in early Gemini before dipping back into Taurus. With this transit, the planet of information, communication and mental processes temporarily leaves its own home sign to revisit a very different space. In many ways, it feels like a reminder to stop and reflect before moving forward full-speed. As we saw in the overview of this Taurus season’s astrology, Jupiter’s move into Aries the day after Mercury’s station marks the beginning of a significant change in the astroweather. Most notably, we’re entering an initiatory, catalytic, fire-starting, fast-moving season with a summer heavily influenced by cardinal and mutable energy.
TAURUS SEASON
Happy Taurus season! With the sun moving through this Venusian fixed earth sign we’re thinking about processes of growth. Specifically, what they feel like. The ease and pleasure of a slow stretch, seeing seedlings break out of the soul, the unfurling of a rose bud, feeling a song’s bass vibrating through your body. There’s a steadiness about Taurus that is rooted in the body, in the material of being alive. Taurus season teaches us about being meticulous without gripping; careful about our desires while giving them space.
AQUARIUS SEASON
Welcome to Aquarius season, ARMY! Broadly speaking, this is the season of originality, idealism, deep thinking, and visualizing for the future. Much to the annoyance of the Aquarians I know, most stereotypes of the sign portray them as alien oddballs who dance to the beat of their own drum and make little sense to other members of the zodiac. But in truth, Aquarius is a sign of revolution, of rejecting the conventions that exist only for the sake of the status quo, and of visualizing a more just collective future.

Happy birthday to our dear Capricorn stellium king, Kim Taehyung / Tete / thv! ARMY, let’s take a moment to express gratitude for how much Tae has fed us this past solar return. Especially recently—from his LA/Hawaii escapades, deleted IG stories, FACIAL HAIR, and of course his tarot reader persona (I’m not over it and never will be)… it’s been great to see him explore/share his individuality, despite the collective difficulties we’re all feeling.
VENUS RETROGRADE
Venus stations retrograde at 26 degrees of Capricorn on the 19th of December, its motion appearing to reverse through the sky until the 29th of January 2022. When a planet is retrograde, linearity has less of the usual grip on its function. Instead, the motion is a kind of wandering, searching and excavating which can unearth essential hidden information.
Happy Anniversary to BE — on non-linearity, creating comfort and the Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus
One year on from the release of their album, BE, BTS are preparing to fly to the US for a schedule of awards, performances and, finally (!), their first live concerts since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
It feels fitting, somehow, that we have a full moon eclipse happening in Taurus on the 19th of November. Not only does it open this end-of-year eclipse season, it marks the beginning of a significant shift of the lunar nodal axis. For the past 18 months, the eclipses have cracked open, shifted and reshaped the Sagittarius and Gemini areas of our lives. After a last solar eclipse in Sagittarius on December 4th, we will move into a new 18 months of growth and change where the Taurus-Scorpio axis lands for us, starting during Taurus season next year.
New Moon in Scorpio
Hi again, ARMY! The New Moon in Scorpio occurs on November 4, 2021 at 2:15 PM Pacific. New Moons occur when the sun and moon are conjunct, and this particular lunation is in opposition to Uranus. And the day after on November 5, Mercury enters Scorpio and Venus enters Capricorn. There's a lot going on! 😵💫 If you haven't already read Kirstin's week ahead post, I highly recommend to get a better sense of the Scorpio Season vibe!!
